The Poverello food bank, which provides food to thousands of HIV positive clients in Broward County, is currently facing financial difficulties and will only be able to give one care package per month for the next few months based on donations received from a food drive they are preparing to do in the next few weeks. Because of this, BOLT’s monthly meeting on Friday January 28, 2011 at 6:00 PM will be providing a spaghetti dinner to those that may need it. We have chosen to offer a spaghetti dinner as that it is a simple, low cost way to feed a large group of people.
BOLT (Brining Our Lives Together) is an HIV social group.

Instead of our regular scheduled Friday movie, we are working with BOLT (Bringing Our Lives Together) to put this Spaghetti Dinner together. Poz-Attitudes men who contribute at least $10 to BOLT’s dinner will be invited to my house after the dinner for coffee, dessert and a movie.

To make a contribution to this dinner and get invited back to my house, see Anthony at The Pride Center Friday’s 1:00-4:00 PM or at Fusion on Tuesdays 3:00-7:00 PM.

Fusion is located at 2304 NE 7th Avenue in Wilton Manors, 954-630-1655.

** HELP **
Shout out to all my Ft. Lauderdale friends…I just learned that Poverello Food Panty is having to close until around March due to economy and lack of donations. We have all been blessed in different ways and we all to often “take when we should give” and when it hurts we should “give some more” so let’s help out our community family and drop off an extra $10 or $20, here and there, in can goods or dry goods, buy one and get one free and drop off the free. Or simply make a Tax Deductible Cash Donation ! -RJ

Poverllo provides life-saving food and basic living essentials with the highest degree of understanding, respect and love for individuals living with HIV/AIDS who are living in Broward County and meet specified qualifications for services.
