There is an ongoing outbreak of meningococcal disease in Florida, primarily among gay, bisexual, and other men who have sex with men, including those living with HIV.  

Vaccines can help prevent meningococcal disease, which is any type of illness caused by Neisseria meningitidis bacteria

For people under 55, you can just go to a pharmacy and get the vaccine.

For people over 55, you need to get a script from your doctor for the over 55 vaccine MenQuadfi, pick up the vaccine from the pharmacy and have a doctor or nurse administer the shot

Pharmacies do not typically have this vaccine in stock and will have to order it for you.
