This Wednesday September 29, 2021 our topic is ‘HIV and Aging’ with guest speaker:
Robb Kvašňák, Ed.D.
Robb is a retired professor of education at FAU. He was diagnosed positive at AHF on April 23, 2012 and since then he has been interested in how best to live with HIV. He volunteered one year at the Florida state run Ombudsmen for the Elderly, visiting assisted living and nursing facilities to report on the conditions there. For three years he worked at Seniors Helping Seniors caring for the elderly in their homes so that they did not have to be relocated to a living facility. “Aging with HIV” looks at the parallel problems of growing old in our society and living with and managing HIV. It is a snap shot of Robbʻs ongoing dedication to this subject and by no means conclusive.
At the conclusion of our meeting at 8:30, we will be going to dinner at Rosie’s.
Come join us for an interesting topic and dinner.
