POZitive Attitudes

Our friend and POZitive Attitudes group member, Stan Roller, is in the end stages of anal cancer caused by HPV and AIDS. He has asked me to share this information with you. Stan considers the Group a strong support system like an extended family.

STAN ROLLER

Stan is 58 years old, born in Tampa and raised in Chicago. He has been HIV positive since 1995.  Dr. Ellie Schochet is one of his doctors for his condition. Stan has a message to share: “Don’t be a dude” because other diseases besides HIV can catch you too. “Make sure you are having all tests and seeing your doctor regularly.”

Stan continues to have a great sense of humor despite everything. He lives with his adorable dog,”Duchess.” He notes that “she’s not a county in Pennsylvania, so doesn’t spell it “Dutchess” but like the snooty aristocracy that she claims to be a part of.”
