There’s something about June. In June 1944, the Allies stormed the beaches of Normandy during World War II. In June 2016, 49 people were murdered at Pulse nightclub in Orlando. In June 1969, Gays at the Stonewall bar in New York City began rioting against a police raid starting the gay rights movement and since then June has been Pride month. And 50 years ago in June 1968 Robert Kennedy was assassinated in Los Angeles after winning the California Democratic primary. Kennedy was one of the most inspirational speakers and in his honor the June 27, 2018 meeting will be dedicated to reading and discussing 25 of his most inspirational quotes.
