This Wednesday January 31, 2018, we will have guest speakers, Hugh Beswick and Patrick Mahoney from the World AIDS Museum who will discuss WAM’s HIV/STI Educated Choices and Stigma Conversation Curriculum, WAM’s achievements to date, and WAM’s future.
From Patrick Mahoney:
I look forward to speaking with Positive Attitudes on Wednesday evening. We plan on discussing the following with the group:
1) HIV/STI Educated Choices and Stigma Conversation Curriculum – we will give the group an overview of the information that we teach to High Schools, discuss our experiences, feedback from teachers and students, how we measure our success and both the strengths and growth opportunities
2) Review WAM’s achievements to date in education, community engagement, community dialogues etc
3) A look into WAM’s future – Digital expansion of both the education initiatives and AIDS chronology, plans for an interactive media room that will transcend physical and digital environments, and the continued growth of our video projects and history series
I think it will be an interesting and informative meeting and look forward to engaging in a dialogue with the group and fielding any questions to make it an interactive evening.
